PEOPLE FAIL TO VOTE ONE TENTH OF POPULATION Approximately 1(53,000 people in New Zealand had so little interest in the general election held on Saturday, September 25, that they did not even trouble to vote. This is approximately one-tenth of the population of New Zealand.
