QUARTERLY PARADES HELD

WEEK-EX D MU STEIIS

Observing the prescribed hourly parade once a quarter members of the local Home Guard, once again donned khaki and went through their paces oyer the week-end. The Medicos travelled with their once well known "pit- 4 cart" to Qhiwa where once again they rescued 'badly smashed' heroes from densely wooded ridges and. bore thein lovingly down to the A.R.P. helplessly trussed up with "Thomas' splints and heavily swathed on other vital spots. The infantry devoted the day to a brush-up rille shoot where .some of the old hands once again demonstrated their ability to knocUup a good score. Captain C. S. Armstrong took the opportunity of expressing A Company's good wishes to guardsman \Y. Smythe. who leaves to join the Air Force early next month. He mentioned that guardsman Smythe. had been one ol' the most regular and enthusiastic members of the company and on behalf of his comrades wished him all success in his newsphere.
