SCHOOL SWIMMING BATH FUNDS

Sir, —May I, for one, express my disapproval of the proposal to apply the above funds to a tennis court. If the ceracnt is available to lay down a tennis court and the wire netting to enclose it, then perhaps a fresh application to the Building Controller for permission to build the swimming bath will meet with success. Children taught to swim now might mean valuable lives saved later. May I suggest that as the teachers can raise funds by means of concerts that they do so now for the express purpose of building a tcnn'is court. Then they need not do so later to replace the bath fund. Yours etc., GEORGE HAMIiLL.
