STREET ASSAULT
LAUNDRYMAN BEFORE COURT

Charged with assaulting (Charles James Head, Vincent- Joseph Vitali. laundrvman, appeared on Wednesday morning at the Whakatane Police Court before Mr G. Brabant, J.P., and was remanded to appear before a magistrate on October 1!). Sergeant. INI. J. Farrell said thai lie had arrested accused at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The victim of the alleged assault could not be present and the police asked for a remand. Vitali, who was not represented by counsel, did not plead and was remanded, in custodv.
