ON THE SCREEN
REGENT Warner Bros, have once again achieved a grand picturisation of a best-selling novel in their excellent adaptation of Stephen Longstreet's "The Gay Sisters." to the screen. The film, which is now showing at the Regent Theatre has everything that makes lor line screen entertainment—a swift-moving story—a fine east—romance —intrigue and brilliant dialogue. Superlative performances, by Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce and .Lionel Atwill give a peculiarly distinctive importance to latest mystery-detective drama "Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon" which opens at the Regent, on Thursday lor two nights. Rathbone. and Bruce are co-starred as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. Atwill appears as the cunningly ruthless Professor Moriarty, one ol' Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's most fascinating story characters.
