1% was decided by tire Gisborne Chamber of Commerce, at its monthly meeting, alter some discussion, to .send a letter to the head office oT the Railways Department requesting it to consider the matter of the departure of the 1U a.m. Auckland train and the arrival of the Taneatua train which connected with the Auckland train passengers picked up by the service ear, with a view to arranging th.c timetables, so as to allow the service car to arrive at Gisborne at an earlier hour than at present. The cars at present seldom reaibh Gisborne before 1 a.m.
