REGENT

Columbia's "The}' All Kissed the Bride," which opens on Saturday at the Regent Theatre, proves conclusively that Joan Crawford and Melvyn Douglas rate premier billing as two of Hollywood's finest romantic comedy stars. Sheering away from her recent, starkly dramatic roles, Joan Crawford returns to the type of blithe, romantic characterisation that first made, her a star. She is seen .in "They All Kissed the Bride" as a million dollar heiress and a career woman who discovers making love is more fun than making money while Douglas appears as a young man who believes there's nothing wrong' with a woman that a man's lips can't cure. He sets out to prove his theory with rcckless abandon., GRAND "A riot of activity" is the descriptive phrase which comes to mind in relation to "Riot. Squad," the Monogram drama ■-which comes to the Grand Theatre on Fridav-Saturday. From first to last, the picture is an unbroken succession of tense situations and thrilling incidents. Richard Cromwell and Rita Quigley head the cast of this picture and both are completely up to the requirements of their roles. As the lovers of the story,, they contribute romantic moments to a picture Which is basically a fast-anoving story of villainy and intiigue.
