WEDDING BELLS

JOHNSON—McISAAC

The wedding of Jean, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. A.. J. Mclsaac, of Whakatane, to Trooper Eric Leonard (Second N.Z.E.F. on furlough), elder son of Mr and Mrs: T. H. S. Johnson, of Dargaville, Avas celebrated on the evening of August 7th,, at St. Columbia Church, Auckland. The Rev.- S. G. Caulton officiated.

The bride, who Avas given away by her father, wore a simply cut trained frock of ivory slipper satin, and an embroidered veil of silk tulle held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of shasta daisies and roses. Miss Marie Carter (W.A.A.F., Hamilton), attended as bridesmaid, and wore a pink lace frock, with matching veil and a topknot of irises. She also carried a shower bouquet. Luanne Lindsay,, of Hamilton (cousin of the. bride) attended as llowergirl and looked very sweet in a blue net and taffeta frock with a matching bonnet. She carried a posy of daffodils and grape hyacinths. The best man was Cpl. Val Lam-, bert of Dargaville (Second N.Z.E.F. on furlough), and the ushers were Driver Keith Lj r 'on, of Whakatane (Second N.Z.E.F. on furlough), and Mr C. Megson, of Dargaville.

The reception was held at George Court's Tearooms,, -where Mrs McIsaac received her guests wearing a navy frock with navy accessories and a fur cape, and. carricd a posy ol' flowers in cyclamen and blue shades. Mrs Johnson w T ore a brown, frock with matching accessories and a fur cape; she carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers. The. bride travelled in a grey tailored. costume with black accessories and a fur cape, the gift of the bridegroom.
