WORK OF REHABILITATION COUNTY CHAIRMAN'S REPORT Reporting on ail address by Mr Pascoe. of the Dominion Rehabilitation Board, Wellington, to delegates attending the recent county conference. the chairman. Mr J. L. Burnett, informed the Whakatane County Council last week that the whole, undertaking was u terrific job, not only of the Government's responsibility but also the duty of every citizen in New Zealand, to assist towards the reconstruction of our industrial fabric after the war. "It is estimated that it will take from three to five years to re-establish industry on something approaching normal lines" saidi Mr Burnett, "and we've got to give the Government all! the assistance we possibly can. As far asi this council is concerned I think our main job is to give proper access to our produce. There will be ample demand for it after the war and that will be our job."
