Britain Delivers the Goods
The following story is vouched for by a soldier repatriated from Italy. Some few weeks before his release the 3000 men in his camp, situated some 20 or 30 miles from Milan,, were furnished with a much-needed change of clothing, including l'uli battle-dress. These goods were, landed in south Italy in large cases and the lorries containing them travelled the whole length of the country exhibiting to the populace the. slogan, printed in large letters on each case, "Britain Delivers the Clouds."
Butter for Britain Since he addressed the National Dairy Conference a month ago, stated the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Barclay, cables had been received from the British Ministry of Food indicating that at least 115,000 tons of New Zealand butter .should be forwarded to Great Britain during the season. That and other requirements made it necessary to avoid any change-over from butter to cheese, although the United Kinglom could .supply in addition to butter.
