Board, show that lamb killings now tota'lf 10,957,24(5 carcases., compared with 11,061,953 carcases to Ist August last season, this being a decrease. of 104..707 carcases. Wether mutton killings are 609,450 carcases, and ewe mutton killings. 1,713.485 carcases, compared wiith 757,039 and 1,961,528 carcases respectively last season. Details of, the. lamb and mutton killings in the North and South Islands., -with figures for the previous season in parentheses, ar& as follows: — North Island Lamb 5,841,185 (5,799,247) Wether mutton 548*715 ( 670.342) Ewe mutton 1,176,898 (1,157,318) South Island; Lamb 5,116,061 (5,262,.<00 Wether mutton 60,735 ( 86.697) Ewe mutton 536,587 ( 804,210) Frozen beef production has reacbecl 560,539 quarters compared witlv 628,107 quarters last season-
