NATIONAL PARTY
BAY OF PLENTY ELECTORATE MR SULLIVAN'S ACTIVITIES A preliminary run around a portion of the electorate -was undertaken by the Member Cor the District, Mr W. Sullivan,, during the past week. He was accompanied by Mr F. J. Short, Chairman of the National Party Electorate Commit-: tee, and the organiser for the district. The purpose of the trip was to give supporters of the National Party an opportunity of hearing something of. the aims and aspirations of the party, and to discuss political matters generally with Mr Sullivan. Time would not permit of a more* comprehensive tour of the electorate, but meetings were held at Ruatoria, Tiki Tiki, Takomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay, Makauri and Te Karaka. The meetings which were very well attended, were most enthusiastic. Several new branches are in process of format\op .to further the interests of the party., and the results at the forthcoming election are looked forward to with utmost confidence.
