UNVEILING CEREMONY

MEMORIAL TO LATE H. A. HORROCKS

SERVICE AT PAPER MILLS

At 11 a.m. on Thursday. Btli July, Mr \V. M. Sullivan, ALP., will unveil a memorial to the late Mr H. A. Horrocks, late Managing Dire-tor of The Whakatane Paper Mills Limited and the founder of the Mill. The memorial is being erected just inside the entrance to the. Mill and the unveiling ceremony Avill take place there. In our advertising columns Mr E. B. Brown, the Company's. Manager, extends an invitation to the residents of Whakatane and district to be present. He expresses the: wish that, as many as can spare the time will make it convenient to take part in the ceremony and do honour to the memory of the man whose personal efforts and sacrifice have lneaiit so much to Whakatane and to Ne\y Zealand. Mr G. H. C.M.G., Managing Director, will deliver a short address, and the unveiling ceremony by Mr Sullivan will be followed by the laying of wreaths on the memorial. . > The Whakatane Boys Band >vill be in attendance and play the. opening and closing hymns. 1 The assembly are invited at the conclusion of the ceremony to file past the memorial in silent tribute to the memory of Mr Horrocks.
