CHURCHILL SPEAKS
WHEN the beloved Prime Minister of Great Britain speaks to the world in general, there is usually good reason to believe that his voice is not merely broadcast for the sake of mere talking, but that it is a preface to deeds of the: first magnitude. In the past since the first historic 'blood, sweat and tears' dissertation after Dunkirk, the voice of Churchill has always preceeded a new and historic turns of events as the war-policy of the Allied nations was advanced yet another stage. It would seem right to suppose, that his broadcast yesterday, carrying as it did in the midst of its optimism a stern note of warning relative to the greater fight ahead, was once again the prelude of mighty undertakings in the Avar zone. Would we be correct in assuming that the speech, was yet another milestone towards the vast undertaking to which the whole Empire is pledged— the: invasion of the European mainland. Can it be that once again this deep throated clarion is in reality yet another call to arms in an effort to steel the freedom-loving peoles of the world to the forthcoming halocaust which must be endured before the final crown of victory and liberty will be ours. With everything poised in readiness ; every portent arrayed in that direction; and with our once braggart enemies trembling with apprehension, we can safely say that it assuredly is!
