ALL NATIONS DAY

MONDAY, June 14, was recognised the world over as United Nations Day. In all Allied countries ceremonial parades were held to further cement the bonds of common pujpose for which free men everywhere have taken up arms. Whakatane's effort was confined to the flying of the colours of as many of the Allied countries, as could be obtained, a gesture which was probably common to most other towns of its size throughout the Dominion.
