Mass Welcome to Soldiers In the course of his annual report to the Taneatua Patriotic general meeting last week, the chairman, Mr A. McGougan, said: "I wish to* intimate that the past executiv© have a scheme in mind relating to presentations to men coming home. '* They feel that it is most desirable that welcome homes should be given, as the men return home, say in twos or threes, but that the idea of a mass welcome to all after the last man is home be given and at. - that function suitable presentations bo made. This would mean the creation of a special fund from the people of this district. Such a function as (suggested would be a fitting occasion to show our appreciation in a small way for what our men are doing for us. I commend this suggestion to the. incoming committee and to the people of this district.
