Matata Camp
The secretary reported that he had visited the previous d a3 r , with Mr G. A. BTayden, the newly established Matata camp. On behalf of the National Patriotic Fund Board, Mr Haj r den was making available to the camp all furniture 1 such as ehairs, settees, wirelesses (2) and Sports gear for indoor and' outdoor games. The appointment of a We.llare Officer to' the camp was also i-eceivimg consideration and a list of personnel available for such appointment would be submitted to the camp authorities in due course. Ihe sum of £150' had been donated for the purpose of establishing a canteen, which would be. repaid in due course from profits. The Army Educational Welfare Service was also being communicated with on the matter of supplying the camp V'ith reading matter.
