RUATOKI MAORIS RESPONSE
- THE fine effort made by the Ruatoki Maoris in raising £538, to find their Patriotic quota, will meet with the; warmest approbation from the Pakeha community. The effort is a most creditable in view of the fact that the contributing population is neither as organised nor is it as con solidated as is the average pakeha settlement and thus „.it will be recognised that the work entailed in collecting and canvassing was much greater.
