The gathering took place amidst the gum trees in the Domain and was, attended by approximately three hundred people, the fun of course emanating from the boisterous. Cub element crouching by the flames in the front rows.
The programme of community singing, items and stories was in the hands of Commissioner Southron and. S.M. G. V. Thomas anpl; went with n good swing. It terminated after all had been regaled with hot cocoa,, boiled on the spot, Avith a prayer by tho Commissioner for the district, Mr F. N. Christian.
