DUAL GOLQ MEDALLIST FOR
TWO YEARS
Mr T. W. Ward law's well known Green Meadows Stud at Waimana, has produced yet another record of which" this district and indeed the country at large may avcll be proud. For two consecutive seasons, he has bred and tested a dual gold medallist. as far as butterfat production is concerned. Ijn 1940-41 season the senior 2-year-old Green Meadows Melba produced 7()5.4.31bs of fat, and (>67.54 lbs in 305 days, being class leader in both those categories. Last season Green Meadows 1 Queen, a 4-vear-old produced 82f).31b5, in 305 days and 721.02 in 305 days. In both these, instances besides the class gold medals each entrant was also awarded the separate gold medal for producing over 7501 bs of fat in the season. As far as Ave can ascertain this is the first time on record in this country that any breeder has held this dual distinction two years in succession.
