EDGECUMBE FAREWELLS

Sir, —A considerable amount of criticism is being levelled at the* Edgecumbc Patriotic Committee through failing to farcAve.il several of onjr local men. I wish it to be understood that this committee has no connection with the Edgecumbe Farewell Committee, whose duty it is to farewell these men. Another matter which I wish to bring before the notice of the public is that, the collection for the current year lias commenced.. To save time and transport woukl those in the Edgecumbe area forward their donations to the secretary, Mr F. Patience. Let us show by donating freely, now, our appreciation of what our men are doing in Africa and elsewhere. Yours etc., D. S. RADCLIFFE, Cliairmau Edgecumbe Pat. Cam*
