IN THE OFFING—NEW LIBERTY LOAN
ALTHOUGH no date has been fixed advice has been received by the Whakatane Committee from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand that advance subscriptions to the next War Loan are now receivable. This announcement portends the launching of the new loan campaign some date in the near future. The terms and conditions on which advance subscriptions are accepted are. endorsed on the back of the application forms, supplies of which are available at all Trading Banks and Money-order Post Offices. Interest on stock issued in respect of advance subscriptions will be paid in accordance with the prospectus of the N.Z. Loan concerned. Interest will not however be payable on advance subscriptions which may be withdrawn before the actual closing of the loan. From the above it will be seen that like the Patriotic Levy, the Dominion will probably have to meet large periodic War Purposes Loans for the duration.
