LOCAL DANCES
Sir, —I have for some years now attended the dances held by the Caledonian Society, because they have been the best held about here. But I'm wondering if they arc going to remain the best. At the two last dances held I noticed with many others that even if it is an open night or an Ingleside, the young people do the Fox Trot when, an old-time dance is announced by the M.C. On the other hand you never see the older people doing old-time dances when Fox Trots are announced. Now the meaning of the letters M.G. are Master of Ceremonies with the power to stop any dajice which is not being danced as announced.
