WELL NAMED The. two year old gelding by Nightmarch —Contempt, the dam of Silver Scorn and Disdain, has been named Contemptuous. Contempt is now 24 years of age. WAR EFFORT SCORES War Effort, who as a yearling was presented to the Patriotic Fund by the breeder, Mr R. A. Smith, of Wairoa, opened liis winning account at Hawera by accounting fov the High Weight Handicap.
