LID FLEW OFF WITH BANG When opening a tin of aluminium paint for painting of stoves, Mr T. Rowley, of Maekay Street, Thames, had a narrow escape from serious injury. He had jiust released the lid slightly, when it went off with, a tremendous bang, breaking his spectacles and. injuring his forehead. Evidently there was something in the mixture which formed a gas, and when the lid was released it flew off with great force. People should be careful when opening these tins, .
