THEFT AT THORNTON

YOUNG MAORI CHARGED ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT Before l ,Messrs G. Brabant and J. G. Mulholland, J.P's, a young Maori Edward Patrick pleaded guilty last Friday to a charge of theft from a former employer living at Thornton. Sergeant Farrell said that Patrick was actually on license from the Borstal Institute but could apparently not go' straight. He had stolen articles of clothing and private property and could offer no real excuse. Accused was sentenced to a months imprisonment.
