In the final examination for Registered State. Nurses conducted in December, Miss Mona McCallum, of Whakatane, and Mis& Joyce Watson, of Otakiri, were successful candidates. Both these nurses trained in the New Plymouth Public Hospital. Local friends of Miss Merle Harris will have been interested to notice her photograph in the illustrations 1 of the Auckland Star last Wednesday, where she is shown with other members of the N.Z.R.A.F. Women's Auxiliaries at work on a directional table.
