WHAKATANE DELINQUENTS 1942 324. CRIMINAL CHARGES For the quarter ended December 31, 1942, the Whakatane. Court has dealt Avith 70 criminal cases, in combined J.P.'s and Magisterial sitings. During the. same quarter 18 civil claims Ave re- filed for amounts totalling £254 lis 9d. Of this figure 25 cases Avere disposed of the total amount claimed being £324 18s, of which £289 lis 2d was recoA T c.red. Figures for the year of 1942 slioav that there Avere no less than, 324 criminal charges including 23 children court cases. There Avere tAvelve Magisterial sittings and 42 presided OA'er by J.P.'s. The number of civil claims, filed totalled 105.
