OFFICIAL CITATION

COLONEL F. PXUDEAUX, E.D. (0.8. E.)

The following was the official citation regarding Colonel Frank PrideauNj's award of the 0.8. E. conferred recently in the Army Honours list: — Awarded for outstanding work as Chief Paymaster and financial adviser to 2nd N.Z.E.P. The Second N.Z.E.F. was a force specially constituted and organised for service overseas and the Pay and Allowance Regulations have grown up with the force. The whole ol the interpretation and amendment of the regulations, together with the establishment of the financial machinery to apply them, has fallen to Colonel Prldeaux. This alone would have been a full-time position, but in addition lie has been financial adviser to tlie General Officer Commanding, in which capacity his. advice has been uniformly helpful and sound. He has also dealt with the innumerable points arising out. of the introduction of the capitation system and is still engaged in handling the mass of detail arising out of the original system of itemised payments for stores which was in force in 1940'. He is thus, in effect, filling three appointments. His imperturbable and, cheerful temperament has been a great encouragement to all who have dealt Avith him.
