FURTHER ENJOYABLE GATHERING 'POPULAR GIRL' CONTEST Once again the Caledonian Hall Avas comfortably Jilled last Friday evening Avhen a further enjoyable Inglesid'e took place. Visitors i'rom the surrounding districts attended and the general atmosphere of happiness which prevailed left no shadow of doubt as to the growing popularity of these functions. Music- came from the Rhythm Aces orchestra avlio once again supplied a bright and A r aried programme. The Pipe Band avus also in attendance and added its- quota to tinliveliness of the proceedings. The M.C. Piper Alf Ferguson A\ as one:; again responsible for keeping the programme bright and entertaining b}* not permitting the encroachment of any dull moments. NoAelty items, including a "brace of Monte Carlo Avaltzes Avcre popular interludes, the -Aviniiers being Avarmly applauded. Supper Avas. in the hands of the Society's capable ladies committee and left nothing to be desired. The 'Popular Girl' contest is also making headway and the position as announced last Friday Avas Ist (Xi Azotes), 2nd (20 votes) 3rd (9 votes).
