Another of the popular card evenings. was held in the Ldgecumbo Hall last. Thursday night by the Edgecumbe Branch of the Patriotic Society. Flag five hundred, under the supervision of Mrs Shaw and Mr L Cow who acted as Mi.-C, was plaj'ed and enjoyed by all who took part.i The winning table with the highest score comprised of Mrs Ma-> gee Senr.. Miss M. Magee, Mr Kilbride and Mr F. Pepperell. Amongst, those present were; Mr and Mrs Simpson; Mr and Mrs Hos j kins;. Marx and Mas well patronised. A ralfle the prize being a bag of Hour, was won by Mrs Brady. Ihe evening ended with a buffet supper prepared by the ladies committee.
