LAND GIRLS
THE appeal to-day is for able-bodied young women to assist forward the country's war effort by joining the increasing number of young girls who are already working on the land. To-day as never before it is encumbent upon the Dominion to maintain in full volume its primary industries which in years past have played so much in establishing our place in the sun. The produce to-day is needed to feed the armies of freedom in the South Seas,, where our very defenders are dependent upon our industry for thvir susten ance. A? manpower declines so must the country s vigoi~ ous young women-power be harnessed to fill the bieach. Application forms are procurable from the secretary of the local Primary Production Council, Mr J. Alexander,, Box 61.
