ARRANGEMENTS FOR CONCERT
At a special meeting of the Whakatane Branch of the N.Z. Plunket Society held last - Tuesday to consider ways and means of raising funds tlie following were present:— Mesdames Bridger, Cairns, - Spring, Partridge, Zinsli, Shapley and Morpeth, lion. sec. Apologies were received from Mesdames .Fisher and -Rayner. For various reasons it was decided not to continue with the proposal to hold weekly dances in the 1 meantime. In place thereof it was decided to organise a concert. Mrs Zinsli reported that Mr Rigdon was willing to act as producer and that he Avould interview young ladies interested next Tuesday evening at 7.30.
