PATRIOTIC FUND APPEAL

£538 STILL NEEDED

At a meeting of the Whiakatane Men's Patriotic Committee last Wednesday evening the secretary, Mr C. W. Good, reported that of the Borough quota of £2306, the Ladies' and Men's Committees had. succeeded in raising £1748, leaving £558 still to be "collected. The meeting considered the effort to date as satisfactory in view of all the difficulties encountered and resolved to make a special house to house canvass during the next few months in an endeavour to meet the full requirements. In the forthcoming drive for funds the Ladies' Committee' have also pledged their assistance.
