■COUNTY COUNCIL'S CONCERN
'GREATER PROTECTION URGED
"Our staff difficulties are
growing heavier with each regulation which demands the registration; of man and ; woman power," said the chairman of the 1 CTounty Council, Mr J. L. Burnett yesterday. The point is that all Government departments are declared essential, and I think in our own interests we should l try and get some similar coverage for local bodies." To this end the meeting decided that the Counties' Association be ns'xed to make the necessary application to the Director of Manpower for the declaration as an essential industry of County clcrical and engineering administrative staffs.
