SCHOOL TENNIS COURTS

COMMITTERS APPE AL

At the monthly meeting of the Whakatane School Committee it was decided to vote the sum of £25 towards the construction and materials for school tennis courts. The estimated' cost is £40 and l the committee has decided to make a special appeal to the parents and citizens of the town for the balance of £15. To this end the Beacon l%as been approached toi assist in the collection of the desired sum and will be most willing to da so. Donations will be acknowledged in these columns from time to time as they come to hand.
