CALEDONIANS GATHER
The Whakatanc Caledonian Society held a further popular Ingleside in the Society's hall last, Fri-, day evening when the usual happy crowd attended. Under the able control of Piper Alf Ferguson the evening went with a swing from stariJ to finish. The Rhythm Aces orchestra provided once again that bright music for. which it is so well known while, members of the Pipe Band playect for several old-time numbers. A Monte Carlo waltz created ait interesting diversion being won - s Miss Thelma Zinsli and Mr Pat Brady, while two of the Society s lassies provided a bright interlude with an exhibition of the Seann Trubhais.
Supper was served by the ladies committee under tlie capable control of Mrs M. Craig.
During the evening it was announced thta it was the intention, of the committee to run a "popular girl" competition details of whicl* will be announced later.
