PROVINCIAL ORGANISER'S VISIT
SERIES OF ADDRESSES
Once again this district is to be visited by Mrs Johnson, the Provincial tutor and organiser for Adult Education. Those who were privileged to hear her last year will welcome licr return visit and ensure her full attendances at her variousdistrict talks.
The lectures commence on Thursday, September 24 tlie first being given at Taneatua. The visitors itinerary will include Awaikeri, Te Teko, Otakiri and possibly Whakatane in that order and meetings will commence at 10.30 a.m. Details are. announced in an accompanying advertisement. " The lecturer will handle as before a variety of subjects viital to- the conditions of the world to-day and also reaching down into the individuals homes and order of family life. Some of the items grouped under the heading of Child Study are emotional, adolescence, habit formation,'play and play craft, disciplihe, fear and sex. The practical side is served by such subjects as 'Design in the Home' and 'Economy in Electricity" and the like. The deeper subjects include 'Women's I Position in the world to-day' and | many other features which are vital to the feminine viewpoint.
Efforts have already been made to arrange for a lecture in Whakatane but unfortunately it has not been possible to enlist sufficient interest as yet. If however even a muster of twelve can be guaranteed a date will be % made for townspeople at the conclusion of the present series.
It will however be necessary to complete the arrangements as quickly as possible in view of. the ne,ed for defining the forthcoming schedule and making the dates known.
