JERSEY SALE
TANEATUA PEDIGREES
A very successful sale of Pedigree Jersey Bulls was held at Mr J. S. Rae's property at Taneat.ua on Friday. A good bench of interested buyers attended and, the sale went with a swing from the start. The venders were Messrs T. W. Wardlaw, J. S. Rae, Geo. Hill and E. H. Hill ancl the auctioneers were Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd.
The best price of the d fl y was given by Mr L. McCracken of Te Puke for Green Meadows Commodore ,a j'earling bull bred by Mr T. W.. Wardlaw realising 72% guineas. Mr W. E. Riddel 1 of Te Puke gave 57%gns for Green Meadows Triumph a 2 year old from the same vendor,, who also secured 47}4gns for Green Meadows Student. The purchaser was Mr W. Wilson of Whakatane.
The total Bales and averages were 40 bulls sold at an average of 28 x /i guineas. Vendors averages being:— T. W. Wardlaw 27 bulls averaged 28%gns; X.S. Rae 5 -bulls averaged 28}4gns; E. H. Hill 4 bulls averaged 20gns; Geo. Hill 4. bulls 18%gns.
