LAST SATURDAY'S GAMES FINALS OF SEASON A Knock-out Tournament was played last Saturday. Some fine play was witnessed and the games were very evenly contested. At the conclusion of the tournament the President of the Association, Mr I. Hubbard, presented the trophies to tlic victorious teams for 'the season's play. The association desires to extend its thanks to Mr W. Ward, Wliakatane, for the presentation of the Ward Cup to be competed for annually; to Miss Burcli, Miss Adams, Miss Lawson, Miss Rangi, Mrs Dallas, Miss Clark and Miss Cave for capably rel'ereeing all the association matchcs; to the school authorities for the use of the courts and to all others who have assisted towards making the season such a success. Results of games played in Knockout Tournament were as under:-— High School A "J Whakatane Reserve 5; Paroa 14 Poroporo 4.; Whakatane 10 High School B S; Paroa 12 High School A 10; Whakatane 10 Paroa 7. Junior Grade: Paroa 7 Poroporo 1; Paroa 9 Primary.,A 4. The following arc the winners of this year's trophies:—Phillips Cup: For the Avedkly competitions, Rovers (Whakatane); Ward Cup-: Runners up in weekly competition, Hiyh School A; Banner: For least goals scored against throughout wcolvlj competitions, Whakatane Resci\cs. Shield for Knock-out lournament, Whakatane.

On Saturday the 19th a matcn will be played Pakelias v Maoris, commencing at 2 p.m. The following players have been selected:
