GIRL GUIDES TO COLLECT

LAST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER,

The Girl Guides Association has once more agreed to undertake the collecting of 115 tons of cleaning rags for use in the Army and A,ir Force. The local troop will observe the same period as all other Guide troops throughout New Zealand, and housewives arc asked to co-operate to the. best of their ability when they are visited by members.

The National Council for the Reclamation of Waste Materials who sponsored the appeal has agreed that if the present drive is successful the guides will not be asleep to make a further one for 12 months.

Householders in this district are asked to co-operate, and to note that rags handed over must be clean and preferably cotton.
