LYCEUM CLUB
ONE ACT PLAY The monthly social afternoon was held in the Club Rooms on Friday last. Owing to illness of members the attendance was not as large as usual but a very pleasant afternoon was spent by those present. A one-act play was very ably presented by the following cast: The Camber ley Triangle: Kate Camberley, Mrs Winstone; Cyril Noorwood, Mrs Littlejohn; Dennis Camberley,' Mrs Keir. . Mrs Spence read a very interesting extract from a letter written by an officer serving overseas on his various experiences and reactions on the battlefield. _
The competition was won by Miss Winstone.
Among those present were:. Mes-» 'lames Spence, Thomas, Winstone, Booth, Sisam Snr., Cairns, son (Te Aroha), Ker, Buddie, Kcir, . Littlejohn, Blair, Steele, N. Carter, Leonard (Masterton), Gartshore; Misses Winstone, Robertson, GartI shore. The members of the club will take the Red Cross shop on Friday the 18th September. The hostesses for the were Mrs Sisam Snr., Mrs Steele an& Mrs . A very pleasant afternoon concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. >
