THE LOCAL BRIGADE

AUXILIARY MEN ASSIST

Following a meeting of the Fire Board last week in which details of

the new co-ordinating scheme were discussed, as it applied to Whalcntane the local Fire Brigade with the Auxiliary Brigadesmen also in attendance paraded tlie Strand lastweek and, gave an interesting de-

monstration. A feature of tlie display was the increased velocity obtained as a result of the new nozzle which has been delivered and is now part of the plant equipment.

An adjournment to the station immediately after the demonstration was made for the purpose of listening to a lecture by Mr J. Creeke on the various methods of lire control. The speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion.
