ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Whakatane Girl Guide Committee took place in the Parish Hall last week, Mrs P. Gartsliore, District Commissioner, presiding. The election of officers resulted:— President: Mrs F. G. M. Sutclift'e. Vice-presidents-: Mesdames King-sley-Smitli, S. S. Shapley, B. S. Barry, A. Fraser, W. Sullivan. Secretary-Treasurer: Mrs K. Runcim an. Committee: Mesdames Burt, Campbell, Hansen, Thom, Miller, Winstone and Miss Whiteside and Mrs Coulter (representing Te Teko). Votes of thanks Avere carried to Mrs Gartsliore for splendid work as Commissioner, to Mrs Wales (nee Miss Allen) for excellent work as company commander, to auditor (Mr Mdllgaard). To auditor (Mr Mollgaard). The lirst meeting of the new committee was fixed for September D.
