PAPER COLLECTION PROBLEM
BOROUGH COUNCIL'S QUANDARY
A letter from the National Council for reclamation of waste paper, caused Borough Councillors last Monday evening to sit up expectantly. The letter however was quite barren of ideas as far as actual guidance and-direction was concerned and 1 : gave very liittle useful information other than that which is patent to the public generally since the first intimation of the new measure. Aflter a brief discussion it was • decided to interview an officer of the, Whakatane Paper Mills in order " to ascertain the type and texture of paper which could be utilised for manufacture locally.
