WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
* MEETING AT TANEATUA The Tancatua Woman's Institute, held its July meeting recently 3n the Taneatua Hall and there was a good; attendance. Mrs Adams (President) opened the meeting wtith the usual Institute song, after which minutes were read and correspondence dealt with. The motto for the meeting was "Life without friendship is like sky without Sun." The roll call "Reminiscence of School Days" was well responded to and caused a lot of mirth. The da3 r 's competitions were: A, Baby's coat and bonnet or cap: Mrs Frost 3; Mrs Fwart 2. B, Madeira cake-: Mrs Gardner 1; Mrs McKenzie 2. Flower, Anemone: Mrs Couch 1: Mrs Hay ward 2. A vcit iintcresting ■ demonstration on Italian quilting -was given byr Mrs Frost. After a delicious afternoon tea was served by the hostesses the meeting closed with Lhc National 1 Anthem.
