ANNUAL MEETING HELD 1 MPllOYKI) Fi X A NCI A L POSLTI ON The annual meeting of the Whakatane Band look place recently when there was a fair attendance of members and others interested. Mr A. C. Hon. Secretary: H. G. Warren. Hon. Auditor: H. O. Caraway. The financial position of the band has been greatly improved chiefly on account of the generous response of the public to appeal for funds. The committee aims to collect sufficient money with wli Lch to buy new set of instruments when the war is over. } Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs J. Pyne, J. Whitehead, C. Burrell and J. Miles for assistance in repairing instruments^
