SOCIAL AFTERNOON

A very pleasant social afternoon was held in the Club Rooms on Thursday last. Owing to illness of some of the members the plaj' which was to have been presented was postponed until the next social afternoon. Two solos. "Oh Promise Me" and "For the Green"' were very ablv rendered by Mrs James. The competitions were won bv Mrs Winstone 'and Mrs Runciman. Two vei'3 r interesting articles were read by Mrs "Winstone. Among those present were: Mesdames Spence, Thomas, Blair, Otley, Kent, A. Bridger, Sisam, Buddie. Cairns, Liltlejohn, Hill, Lucas, Winstone, Sumner, .James, S. Armstrong, Gartshore, Powdrell. Runciman, .Miss Tait. r lhe hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Bridger and Mrs Kent.
