That being the case, there must be something very wrong in * man's thinking, judging by the sent state of the world.
What would we think of two Rugby teams, if, on taking the field and some irregularity occurred, each player proceeded to state his views as to how the game should be played, and completely ignored the book of rules for the game, as laid down by the Rugby Union? The Great Architect of the universe, on
creating His creation, pronounced it good, and gave laws by which it should be governed. Unfortunately the majority of our spiritual leaders say that these laws are done away with. How tlicy arrive at* this conclusion, I do not know, seeing that Christ himself said "He came not to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfil them." Then we have our educationalists, who, in their own conceit, see fit to put the Divine book of rules outside the system altogether.
Paul said whatsoever things are good etc., think on these things. Do Ave want light on our economic questions? The Divine gives the answer, "You shall not take intcrest from your brother. Interest upon money, interest upon food, interest upon anything that can be lent at interest. Cancel all debts every seventh year." Are the farmers and agriculturist worried about disease of and Crops? The Divine Law says fallow your land * every sixth year, and leave it fallow for the seventh year. 'By so doing, ;dl disease of stock and vegetable life will completely disappear. Do you want health, eat only those foods the Divine Law lays down as clean foods, and leave alone those stated to be unclean. If we would only spend our time thinking on these Divine laws, it would be profitable thinking. The psalmist, speaking of the man who was to be blessed, said "His delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate daj r and night, and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringetli forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever hedoeth shall prosper." If we want to get the best out: of life, live it according to the rule book, and instead cf bjain fag, we shall get life, and life more abund-« - ant. Yours etc., SIMPLE SIMON.'
