Canning presided. The chairman in opening the proceedings welcomed tin , visitors and submitted his annual review (already published) which was read and adopted. The. -balance sheet which was presented by the secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Carr, was also adopted. Mr A. Carl ing in complimenting the chairman on his recovery congratulated him on the comprehensive nature of his report. Hj mentioned also that the number who were successful in the recent examinations was actually no indication of the large number of students who were being trained. The year had been one of tremendous expansion in whicn the Association had played a vital part in disseminating medical and first aid knowledge. He complimented also the ladies of the St. John's Division who were doing excellent work and particularly mentioned Miss Tait. The election of officers rcsu'.ted: — President: Mr B. S. Barry. Vice-president: Mr W. Siflivan, M.P. Chairman: Mr A. J. Canning. Viee-cha.uman: Mr A. Calling. Secretary :\nd treasurer: Mr HCarr. Committee: Messrs Ramson. iVgelow, Drube and Bishop and »M: 4stlames .lames, Cowic? and Miss Tajt. The chairman and secretary w>re appointed joint trustees to operate on the association's funds.
The new set of rules which will form the association's constitution in future were read and adopts!.
